Stora Enso

Stora Enso is a leading global provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wooden constructions, and paper. Stora Enso Eesti AS is one of the companies within the Stora Enso Group, comprising wood processing units in Imavere and Näpi. In addition to the sawmill, the Imavere site also includes the production of beams, wood components, and wood pellets.

In the first stage, we modernized the lighting in three buildings: the glulam workshop, the post-processing workshop, and the warehouse. Each of the three buildings had its own specific characteristics and requirements, which also necessitated an extensive design phase.

A total of nearly 500 HAMK industrial luminaires manufactured by Luminec OÜ were used, across three different models. Electricity consumption was reduced by nearly half, by approximately 50 kW, while simultaneously drastically increasing the lighting levels in all buildings. More importantly, the existing lighting had become inefficient in terms of the current floor plan. Following the lighting renovation, there is exactly the right amount of light where it is truly needed!
